Watch Russian Drivers Taunt and Run Circles Around Cops

A group of feisty drivers in Yoshkar-Ola, Russia, was in a playful mood when a police car arrived at a local parking lot to put an end to their drifty shenanigans.

Let's just say that it didn't go well for the cops who were relentlessly taunted, with one car going as far as running circles around the patrol vehicle…

There was a second, short video on YouTube that allegedly showed the cops catching up with the drifters, but it was removed before we finished this post.

Chevy's Four Concept Cars for Sao Paulo Show May Preview Production Versions

At the Sao Paulo Auto Show in Brazil Chevrolet introduced four concept cars which may or may not reach production.

The S10 High Country is a concept for a high-spec S10 pickup (sold as the Colorado in the US) which features darkened chrome 18-inch wheels with unique finish, chrome trim at the base of the door windows and a bed cover. The interior is based on the local-market 2015 Trailblazer SUV and features two-tone leather upholstery and gloss black trim.

Chevrolet also revealed two concepts based on the Onix compact hatchback. The first one is called Onix Track Day and it envisions a high-performance version which includes mechanical, suspension, engine, brakes and exhaust upgrades. The car is powered by the Ecotec 1.8L Flex engine sourced from the Cruze which additions including a new stainless steel exhaust, high flow air filter and recalibrated fuel injection for a power output of more than 150 hp.

Styling upgrades include a rear spoiler, redesigned bumpers and custom alloy wheels, while the interior features bucket seats, flat-bottomed steering wheel and other finishing details.

The car rides on dark 15-inch alloys and features and aero package including skirts and spoilers. Details include the smoked headlights and taillights, gloss black roof, B-pillars, mirror caps and front grille frame. Stickers on the hood, sides and tailgate complete the exterior changes.

Report Says BMW 4-Series-Rivaling Mazda6 Coupe Coming in 2016

The Mazda6, in both sedan and estate guises, has been somewhat of a revelation for the Japanese brand – it’s a much liked model in the class. However, a third variant always felt like it was missing: a coupe, but it seems that that too is coming, in 2016, according to a recent report.

AutoExpress quotes inside sources making the claim that the two-door 6 will “sit alongside the new MX-5 at the sporty end of the range.”

That’s good, because usually big coupes based on sedans are more GT/cruising-oriented than outright sporty (think Renault Laguna or Honda Accord) – we’re intrigued as to what this means and what kind of car will be spawned out of this norm-defying idea (if it proves accurate, of course).

The same report says the 6 coupe would be Mazda’s attempt to push upmarket and give the BMW 4-Series something to worry.

Apparently, hot MPS/MazdaSpeed versions of the 6 sedan (and we assume the coupe too), the 2 and 3 will also be made and added to the lineup around the same time. There’s even talk of a Citroen DS3/MINI-rivaling model too.

Highlander Cop Erupts After Young Biker Tells Him "God Bless You" [NSFW]

A Miami Beach police officer was filmed going on an authoritarian power-trip after pulling over a young motorcyclist.

YouTube uploader Albert Valdes, who we assume is the man shown in the video, wrote:

"Miami Beach police officer pulled me aside after I had already gotten off my motorcycle for my license plate being folded up and flipped," said Valdes. "Cop loses it when I say 'God Bless You'. Atheist or A$$hole?"

We don't know if something happened before to tick off the officer, nor if the young man began recording the video towards the end of the incident or if he cut the previous scenes, but upon hearing "God bless you", the cop did indeed, lose his cool.

"You know what?" we hear the cop say, "F**k it. I'll throw your ass in jail. You want to be a sarcastic bitch? I'll be a f***ing bigger bitch. You're f***ing with the wrong dude brah [sic…]. I've been here longer than you've been f***ing alive."

The officer continued: "So, if you want to test me again, you'll be finding day county jail real f***ing hunky dory tonight. Which part do you want to f***ing play?"

The youngster then tells the cop that he just wants to go to work. "Then don't be a f***ing little wise ass 20-year old punk, MacLeod's the name [ed. note: spelled just like the hero from the Highlander TV series fame]. Scottish spelling and it's also on the bottom of your ticket if you don’t like it," says the officer.

MT Says 2015 Nissan GT-R Nismo is the Best GT-R Ever

The 592hp 2015 Nissan GT-R Nismo needs no introduction: it’s the fastest, most hardcore production GT-R ever made.

But it’s not just the added power and torque that differentiate it from a regular GT-R. The GT-R Nismo is more focused in every way, sporting sharper steering, beefier brakes, enhanced aerodynamics, upgraded suspension, body reinforcements and much more.

Thanks to these enhancements, the GT-R Nismo is the world’s fastest volume production car around the Nürburgring, with a time of 7:08.679. As deliveries of the car have recently begun in the United States, this review featured in Ignition’s latest episode is a good way to refresh your memory about the GT-R Nismo.

Carlos Lago and Randy Pobst drove the car both on the track and on the road and shared their positive impressions in the video review posted below.

More Details About 2016-Bound All-New Land Rover Defender

For a vehicle that's coming up soon, details on the new Land Rover Defender are surprisingly sparse. We know it will most likely feature an aluminum frame and a modern design that’s already been signed off, as well as the fact that it will be “rugged and attainable.”

A recent report by Autocar does shed some more light. Firstly, they say it’s quite unlikely that we’ll get to see it in production form before the summer of 2016, though concept previews will have debuted by then either at the Geneva, New York or Frankfurt motor shows (next year).

The source suggests its frame “looks likely to be a version of the company’s aluminium monocoque with the addition of a substantial aluminium superstructure in order to make the architecture as stiff and rugged as possible.” That’s what made the old Discovery’s chassis very strong and also made it weigh almost 2.7 tons – with aluminum, weight management will be easier.

As for the engine lineup, power will come from the Jaguar-Land Rover group’s new family of Ingenium four-pot engines, though V6 options could be added as well. Eight or nine speed automatic gearboxes will be standard, it seems, though the absence of a manual will completely alienate traditional buyers, we say.

A key point made by the UK publication is the new Defender’s ability to “thrive in the world’s harshest conditions, to the extent that it will be able to ‘plug into’ existing component networks by using the same wheel and tyres sizes as Toyota’s Land Cruiser and Hilux.”

Finally, it’s worth noting that the theme behind the upcoming model, the philosophy that has guided its creation is “premium durability.” That could either mean it’s going to go along a more posher route than before, or it could simply mean it gets premium levels of engineering, not luxury (or a combination of the two).

Citroën C3 Aircross Lunar Concept Revealed in Brazil

You may or may not be aware that Citroën sells a crossover version of the C3 Picasso in Brazil called C3 Aircross.

For this year’s Sao Paulo Auto Show, the French carmaker thought about spicing things up and unveiled the C3 Aircross Lunar concept, of which we don’t know much about. Citroën only said the study was developed by the brand’s Brazilian styling team and that it may anticipate the local market’s future trends.

What we can see is that the C3 Aircross Lunar features an even higher ground clearance and off-road accessories such as the tires, beefier bumpers and two big roof luggage boxes. The study also features lightly revised light units, side air bumps, tinted windows and blue accents. At the rear, the spare wheel has been replaced by a mysterious box.

Panoz Esperante Spyder GT Visits Jay Leno’s Garage

If you’re an American sports car lover (and of a patriotic orientation), the Panoz Esperante in general, and the Spyder GT in particular will surely tickle your fancy.

It’s the kind of car that relies on nationally-sourced parts and expertise and while not into big volume production, still around some 24 years after its creation.

With over 600 cars built since 1990, Panoz is somewhat of a prolific boutique(-ish) manufacturer and the Esperante Spyder GT is currently their crowning glory.

We went into detail about the model, which will be made in a limited series of 25, and said it could be had with a wide range of GM- and Ford-sourced engines, as well as either a six-speed manual or paddle-operated self-shifter.

Jay Leno recently got a chance to get behind the wheel of what is currently the only Spyder GT in existence – it’s a prototype. He was joined at his garage by company founder Don Panoz, a man with a background in the pharmaceutical industry and part of the team that developed the original nicotine patch. He’s no car guy, but certainly proud of his achievement (and keen on naming colors…).

Does BMW M3 Individual Make You Green with Envy or Sickness?

Green can be a tricky color to work with on automobiles – anything lighter than the classic dark British Green and opinions start to differ greatly.

That's why BMW offers divisive shades like the Java Green exclusively on its Individual list of custom-order paints.

It's no surprise then that this 2013 Java Green M3 is (purportedly) only one of 11 E92 M3s from the 2008-2013 years ever ordered in America and, allegedly, the only one up for sale right now, always according to the eBay seller.

"This is a Competition Package M3, so it has the upgraded wheels which have been finished in a satin black. The Grills and side badges were also replaced with black pieces, the windows are tastefully tinted, and the carbon fiber roof finishes off the look of the car perfectly," reads the ad.

Being a year old only, it has a mere 11,164 miles on the odometer with the seller stating that it's a "9.9 out of 10".

It's listed with a 'Buy it now price' of $68,978, but bidding currently stands at $39,100
